Life, etc.

Mmm, ok, I am so sorry first of all that I have become inactive, once again, but having followed me for a while now I'm sure many of you have realised that my activity occurs in cycles aaand somewhat like the seasons I'm now in Winter dA mode. Or perhaps in the midst of a drought in Summer.

Anyhow, irrelevant.

I have been doing art, just nothing that is particularly worthy to put on my dA.

Last holidays I did the first week of a life drawing course at the National Art School in Sydney, which I found to be such an amazing experience. I learnt more in that week than I have in my entire school arting experience, ha. So I do have a lot of work from that, but everything is A2 sized and I am having difficulties photographing it... I might make another attempt to put it up,, maybe.

I'm going back again in one week (wow, so close), so I'm excited for that, but I'm also a little anxious as I have hardly done any of my term work that has to be handed in... Oh well, this week is going to be full of phoebe-style cramming. Wish me luck.

I've just had exams at school, and I'll hold back on the generic teen angst, but I would like to announce that exams make me feel absolutely worthless. I seriously cannot handle expectations.

Next term at school I start yr 12, in which everything starts to ACTUALLY MATTER. How scary.

I'll be starting my Visual Arts Body of Work and I'm pretty sure I have an idea for it, which is good.

I'm sorry that I've lost touch with most of my friends on here. I'm just bad at keeping in touch and coming on dA makes me upset sometimes because I want to just completely immerse myself in art but I'm unable to because of school. Ugh. So, I'm Phoebe. 17, [yr 11, kill me] live in Australia (..double-plus unculture!..) ((Just kidding I do appreciate Aus :P)) with ma mum and ma dog and ma cat.

I love visual arts, music, philosophy, psychology, coffee, pineapple, hands, cephalopods, feathers, blank notebooks, studying in the botanic gardens, the UOW LIBRARY (!!) Alice in Wonderland, lucid dreaming, old faces, parties, cheap book shops, getting A+, N64, understanding maths, new watchers :heart:, and comments with faves :heart:, ..and just faves :heart: XD, and photocopied bus passes.

I dislove mosquitoes when you're trying to sleep, blotchy pens, feet, bitchy customers, wind when you're walking with a skirt on, messy rooms, unorganised school books, hayfever, guilt, stress, highlighters, Jalapeno pepper flavoured jellybeans, the intolerance of society.

I've been drawing and arting basically ever since I could hold a pencil (yes, cliche I am aware ), but only drawing well (ha) and seriously for about .. (?.. 2/3) years. Of course I have a lot of improving to do, I am 'self taught', to answer those who have been asking, but I think I'd like to art after school, at uni (but I'm not going to go rambling down that path because it starts an exponential curve of indecisiveness on my part)...

Feel free to drop me a note to have a chat about anything in the world I am a friendly fellow and also really appreciate crits or advice on my work! I'd love to chitter chat more but my laptop has just informed me that it's battery life expires in 10 minutes so I really must go!

your intuition and creative exploration both in process and mind is sharp. Your one of the few i regularly come back to see. Keep up the great work and if you ever muster a wish to do collobrative drawing let me know. I would love to.
